Kathryn Finney writes regularly about how to look and live great on a budget in her blog The Budget Fashionista. She has been featured on major television and radio networks and on major publications including New York Times and USA Today. She is also the author of the book How to Be a Budget Fashionista.

Tell us about yourself.
I’m a very normal person with a love for fashion and a lack of cash.

What is your blog about?
Shopping. Fashion. Coupons. Things I like. Things other people like.

Are you the only author/contributor?
I write 99.9999% of the blog entries, however our newsletters are written by myself and two other writers.

How did you get started?
I was broke and I just happen to marry someone who was both frugal and tech savvy. He suggested I start a blog and the rest is history.

Why do you blog?
I blog because it gives me the opportunity to connect with people and chat about a fun, but totally frivolous topic.

What is the source of your content?
Newspapers, television, other blogs. Also I get a lot of ideas and tips from my readers themselves. I’ve probably learned more from them, than they have from me.

How frequently do your write/post?
At least twice per day, 7 days a week. Sometimes more if something juicy is going on like Fashion Week.

Does your blog generate revenue?
I’m been fortunate enough to have people who like what I write that allowed me to write a book based on the blog with Random House.

Who visits your blog?
Lots of folks…. people in the media, people who work for various retailers, and just regular folks who love a great deal.
