Give Me My Remote - The Destination for TV Addicts
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Kath and I’ve been working in interactive marketing for the past 10 years. I started GMMR just over a year ago as a side hobby. The site has evolved from a hobby to a passion project.
What is your blog about?
GMMR is all about TV. News, reviews, commentary, gossip, recaps, interviews - everything a TV addict might need to feed their addiction.
Are you the only author/contributor?
I was lucky enough to find a great group of writers who contribute episode recaps for me - they are fantastic!
How did you get started?
A friend of mine has a celebrity gossip blog and it piqued my interest. I started in the gossip world myself, but quickly realized that you have to write about what you love, and for me that is TV.
Why do you blog?
It’s a great way to share my thoughts and opinions on what I’m watching. We’ve got a fun community over at GMMR and I really love to hear what my readers are thinking too.
What is the source of your content?
I write all my own content, but my source material varies. I get a lot of press releases and screeners from the networks so that helps. But other than that I just see what’s happening in the world of TV and if it sparks my interest then I write about it.
How frequently do your write/post?
Everyday. On a good day I post about 8-10 times. On an average day, about 4-5.
Does your blog generate revenue?
Yes.
Who visits your blog?
People that love TV and love to talk about TV.

Who was the wizard that got you into blogging, GMMR? Your site is awesome. The code seems complex. How did you get all those interviews? I love me some GMMR!

I love GMMR! Kath does a great job of keeping all her readers updated with the latest news on all of our favorite shows. I also love all the recaps on the site. Plus, she got to meet John Krasinski, so she is pretty much the luckiest woman on the planet!

I love TV also, but I recently realized that there is so much more to life than living vicariously through other people’s adventures (fiction or non).
I’m just curious, what would you be doing with your free time if you weren’t watching TV? I’ve come up with a list of ideas .
